Meet Mel...
Over the past eight years, I have been educating folks on Medicare and all of its moving parts. If I don’t know an answer, I will do everything in my power to get it and provide what ever solution my clients need to navigate the ever changing world of Medicare and their lives in retirement. Whether you are turning 65 tomorrow, or have been on Medicare for some time, I am here for you, year after year, and always have new and important information to share with you!
Something I find interesting is, I was actually born in the year that Medicare started, which was in 1965. Little did I know that the very same entity and all those it impacts would become my passion so many years later! As far back as I can remember, helping people has always been a priority for me. I grew up in the small mining town of Globe, Arizona, and learned while working at my parents’ market and bait shop, the perfect spot to stop before hitting Roosevelt Lake. From the time I was a little girl, I was taught the skills of stocking, dipping bait, running a register, and all the important aspects of running a small family business. With out a doubt, the most vital knowledge I gained was through my mom, who was just the master at making people feel special and important. I am so thankful to her for showing the impact that we could have by going that extra step.
In my twenties and thirties, I worked full time for a large bank as well as graduated with a degree in education. Working at the bank greatly enhanced my already acquired work ethic and client relation skills. After eleven years at the bank, I went on to work in real estate, building and cherishing relationships until the crash of 2008. In the six years following, I was laid off by four different real estate companies. I remember being in my late forties thinking, “now what?” I knew I needed a positive change in career and my life. Then, after much soul searching and many conversations with my husband, I decided to take a year off to explore new opportunities that wouldn’t only make a difference in my life, but also those I knew and would be working with. I asked myself some hard questions and did tons of reading, along with countless interviews.
One year later, I found myself as a licensed professional advisor for health and life insurance. My mission is to educate clients on the risks that affect their retirement lifestyle. I can confidently proclaim that I’ve truly found my calling and my work really makes a difference in my clients’ lives. From Medicare Planning, to Extended Care Planning, to Legacy Planning, to Final Expense Planning, all the way to Asset Preservation Planning.
I am so excited to be part of the Enrollment Benefits Hub community and look forward to sharing my knowledge and develop solid plans as we all move toward our ageless evolution together!
Let's Meet!
